Buying vintage is a great way to help look after our planet. When you consider all the energy that goes into the production of brand new furniture, and add to that the fact that modern items are often built with only a few years' use in mind, you can feel good about purchasing preloved pieces, at the same time as knowing you are getting a quality product that was built to last. It is also worth remembering that vintage furniture often holds its value far better than new. Not only that, but great style never goes out of fashion!

We at Cotswold Vintage & Retro like to do all we can to stay green. With this in mind, all our packaging is reusable (e.g. blankets and straps for transportation), and we always aim to make collections and deliveries at the same time, to minimise travel. Virtually all of our furniture has been restored in some way, using natural or recyclable materials as far as possible.

We save all spare parts, from shelves, legs and handles to screws and bolts, and it all gets used eventually! This enables us to bring you beautiful wooden pieces without the need for cutting down more trees. We always use vintage or recycled fabrics when reupholstering, and we repair items wherever possible to recapture the charm of forgotten furniture.
